Patients are referred to our clinics for a variety of problems. Physicians can refer a patient to the general pediatrics clinics at N.C. Children's Hospital by calling the numbers below and supplying the appropriate medical records.

Physicians Consultation Service
Our clinic also provides a physician's consultation service staffed by four of our faculty. For an appointment with the attending physician, please call the Carolina Consultation Center at (800) 862-6264 and ask for the general pediatrics physician-on-call. Our physician will request that you fax any pertinent records and give you the appropriate contact numbers.
Pediatric Diagnostic Service
The Pediatric Diagnostic Service provides second opinion appointments as well as diagnostic services for children who have difficult diagnostic problems or diagnoses that do not fit into specific subspecialty categories. Children can be referred by their primary care physicians or other healthcare providers.
