  • Educate present and future providers of pediatric health care.
  • Guide pediatric health care in the community by working cooperatively with other health care professionals to share our expertise.
  • Be active advocates for children’s health care needs.

Vision
We will be a model academic department, viewed as a center of excellence by families, health care providers, academic centers and industry. We will be integrated into both the community and the University of North Carolina, assisting health care providers, and being recognized for our expertise in understanding, preventing and treating childhood diseases.
